The Problem and the results
The field of user experience is young, multidisciplinary, and vast. However, in Latin America, the maturity level of this field is low and there are few quality options available to learn about it. Much of the high-quality UX/UI courses and content today are located in specific places and in English, making it inaccessible to a large portion of Spanish speakers.

What started for me as a hobby, ended up being a community of more than 80,000 students in 56 countries. 7 courses with 4.7 reputation, helping thousands of people, and some of them even got jobs thanks to what they learned!

Courses that were accepted by Udemy for Business, that only 3% of the general catalog of courses achieve this milestone. Reaching professionals from companies such as Lyft, IBM, Nike, Pinterest, among others.

The beginning
To create these courses, I began by defining my goals and conducting research. I investigated the target audience, the competition, and the needs that I aimed to fulfill. My courses are designed for beginners, intermediate-level learners, and professionals looking to advance their skills in UX. To get started, I developed a free 2-hour course on Figma, a tool that I have been using for years.

This course was originally designed to help designers who were transitioning from Sketch to Figma at the agency where I was working at the time. I also organized a meeting to address any questions or concerns that they may have had.

When I saw the positive impact that the free Figma course had on Udemy and my colleagues at work, I proceeded to create a UX/UI design course. This was what gave me the push and motivation to continue with UX Writing, UI Design, and more.
The Journey
Always learning, always evolving
We believe that to teach well, you first have to be willing to learn. That’s why we invest time and energy into constantly leveling up, exploring new tools, frameworks, and design philosophies. In 2025, we attended Config in San Francisco, where we reconnected, exchanged insights with designers from all over the world, and came back recharged. That photo of us isn’t just a memory, it’s a reminder of how much we love what we do.
The Journey
Courses
The courses have techniques and tools that are standards in the industry. In order to equip the student with the best knowledge, citing recognized authors such as Nielsen, Steve Krug, Don Norman, among others.

From our flagship UX/UI course, to more specialized trainings in UX Writing, Design Systems, and Figma, every lesson is designed to be clear, actionable, and genuinely inspiring.

Branding
In order to create a successful website and community, I recognized the need for a strong brand identity. Although branding and identity design are not my areas of expertise, I enlisted the help of a colleague from a leading branding agency to create the logo, social media templates, and other brand applications.

The result was a beautiful logo and color palette that effectively highlighted the brand attributes of digital and community.

Website
I had the branding, the community, and people signing up for my courses. With all of these elements in place, I was ready to start mapping out my website. The main objectives of the website were to increase conversions from a source of its own, generate traffic through a blog, and establish a presence on the internet outside of Udemy, among others.

Corporate training with real impact
Beyond our courses, we’ve had the chance to work directly with in-house design teams from companies like Red Link, Banco del Sol, and Banco de Honduras, delivering custom training sessions on Figma and Design Systems.

We adapt to each team’s level and needs, always aiming for real, measurable outcomes. In some cases, we even helped track the ROI of design, showing how thoughtful UX can drive business growth.

An overnight success?
The first UX course took me a year to complete, during which I worked three hours at night until 1 am, and on weekends during the day. By that time, I was working as a UX Designer in an agency and mentoring UX teams in Digital House.

The UX Writing course took me seven months, and the UI course took five months. It is a little bit easier once you've made one. To create the courses, I did extensive research to develop the content, drawing on my own work experience and the challenges I had encountered over the years.

Something that I loved about the process is that I reinforced many concepts and learned a lot. As I discovered, there's no better way to learn than by teaching. The most gratifying thing of all was that I helped thousands of people, and that, to me, is a great success.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this journey as much as I did.
